February is Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Month!
Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Month is being celebrated throughout February with a series of events across Saskatchewan! Storytellers for the Month include include Howard Walker, Margaret Cote, Jason Chamakese, and Robert Gladue. Our Northern Saskatchewan Archives is celebrating Archives Week with an Open House at Pahkisimon Nuye?áh Library System Headquarters in Air Ronge, Tuesday 4 February, 2014, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. New library2go Kids eReading Room!
PNLS is pleased to announce library2go for Kids, a new digital collection website experience just for children. The main library2go digital collection now has a separate site to provide a safe and easy browsing experience for kids. library2go for Kids filters the overall digital collection to just show children’s content, which gets kids to the titles they want faster! This new service is free for users with a library card. Digital titles are available anytime, anywhere and expire automatically, so no need to worry about late fees.

Monday - 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Tuesday to Thursday - 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
Friday - 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday to Sunday - 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Tawowikamik Public Library/Opawikoscikan High School Library Closed for Renovations Oct. 24th - Nov. 4th
Tawowikamik Public Library/Opawikoscikan High School Library is currently closed for renovations, and is scheduled to reopen on Monday, November 24th. There will be no circulation of library materials during the renovation. Keep up to date on the reopening on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Thanks!

St. Pascal Community School Library in Green Lake Renamed
Veronica Sinclair Library Renaming Ceremony Held On May 17th
We are very pleased to announce that on May 17th, 2013, one of our member libraries, St. Pascal Community School Library in Green Lake, was renamed Veronica Sinclair Library in honor of much loved community elder, leader and long-time school librarian Veronica Sinclair. It was an honor and a joy to attend such a wonderful dedication ceremony and community gathering! Not only was the library renamed, it was refurbished with some beautiful new bookshelves, as well as plenty of awesome new books!

Northern Reading Program 2013
Reading: Stories Give You the Power of Knowledge
Our Northern Reading Program this year was a great success! La Loche took home the award for "Readingest Community of the Year"! Our Bulletin Board winner was teacher Melanie Migneault and her grade one class at Twin Lakes School in Buffalo Narrows! We would like to thank children's author Dianne Young, the featured author of our Athabascan school reading tour, as well as our many kind sponsors: Sasktel, Northern Lights School District, Northlands College, Cameco, Kewetin Nene Reading Council, SaskEnergy, Areva, SaskPower, and the Saskatchewan Writers Guild.
